What is SEO & Why it’s important?
Search engine optimization or SEO is a process of optimizing your website or its content to rank higher in search engines.
Not a big deal or advice that can help you block your website from millions of visitors overnight.
No, it doesn’t work like that.
Rather than being a significant process, SEO is more of a series of little things you do regularly.
Many of these things need to be done only once, which is part of on-page SEO, while others need to be done consistently and are part of off-page SEO.
Together, they can launch their content high on SERP or search engine result pages.
Importance of SEO
Before familiarizing yourself with SEO principles, you must first know WHY you should learn them.
If you learn how search engine optimization works for you, trust me, nothing can stop you from creating a successful blog.
There are 3 main reasons why you should be familiar with SEO:
- Get traffic: High search engine ranking means traffic and more traffic means more subscribers + money.
- Traffic diversification – You can’t trust only one traffic source. A small change in the algorithm of social networks can cause big problems. You need to diversify your traffic source. As they say, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.”

How do search engines work?
Showing users the best and most relevant search results is not just random for Google, but the engine of your entire company.
They do not do it to improve humanity. It’s about business.
Three steps are necessary to show the best possible results for a search engine query.
Step 1 – Indexing the Web
When you perform a Google search on the Internet, you are not searching the Internet at all. They explore the Google index of the web that they create by exploring as many of the Internet as possible with a part of their algorithm called “Crawler”, “Spiders” or “The Googlebot”.
You are not searching in real-time on the Internet. Once Google has its full web index (which exceeds 100 million gigabytes), it goes through a filtering process to remove the most corrupt or unwanted websites.
Step 2 – Content to Your Query
As soon as you type a keyword and hit enter, very magical things start to happen. With a simple word, synonym, and context matches, Google initially removes all websites that are irrelevant to your research topic.
The remaining pages are ordered according to algorithms encoded with more than 200 ranking factors.
Of course, nobody knows exactly what Google’s algorithms contain, but there are two apparent criteria: relevance (usefulness) and popularity (trust).
The first is satisfied with the references on the page, the second with the texts outside the page.
Step 3 – The people Behaviour Feedback Loop
This last step in the research is relatively new to Google’s algorithms, but it is the most advanced.
Once a user enters a keyword, its behaviour and patterns of interaction with search results are closely monitored to provide feedback.
So if a website comes in fourth and users don’t stay there for long every time they click on it, Google knows that particular site is not useful to users and then it should move downranking.
If a website is new in 10th place and users are concerned (in terms of time spent and several internal links clicked), Google will open it where it can be so helpful. more users

The Four Principles of SEO
We know why SEO is so essential and how search engines work. Now we are ready to get our hands dirty with real search engine optimization.

There are only four things we need to do to get Google to put our website for a particular keyword at the top of the search results, all with common sense.
Let me introduce you to the four principles of SEO.
We need to make sure that each page has a specific target topic and is rich in associated target keywords. Most importantly, it must be useful to the end-user: the human being.
You can give your content more relevant by:
- Write a keyword-rich title
- Use synonyms and related words for your target keyword in the right density for your content
- Create your slug / URL carefully using the keyword
- Type the correct file names and alt tags
- Use outbound links to elevated websites
- The link between linked articles
From a simplistic point of view, we must make it easier for Google to find and inspect our websites.
Remember that the search engine first indexes the web.
If your message cannot be found or indexed, there is no chance of it appearing in the SERPs.
You can facilitate indexing of your posts and pages by Google robots by submitting a site map to the Google search console and creating a link.
Make sure there are no dead ends on any page of your website. Each article or page must be linked to a different page on your website.
This is commonly called scanning.
We need to show Google the features that researchers spend a lot of time on our website and process the content.
You can do this by:
- Create high-quality long-form content
- Many shortcuts
- Improve the speed of your website
- Stock questions and comments
Finally, we must show Google that our content is credible and verified by other trusted industry websites that our keyword refers to.
You can build quality credibility and authority by getting backlinks from high-authority websites.
There are countless ways to get backlinks. Some of the common methods are:

- Give testimonies
- How to strengthen authority.
It’s fantastic that SEO is a multi-billion dollar industry, and yet it all boils down to four things that Google would expect from a website.
The first three principles (relevance, research, and engagement) combine in search engine optimization on the page.
The good thing about page optimization is that if you do it right, it is generally a unique activity. Once it’s done, it’s done.
The fourth and final part of the SEO puzzle – Site Authority – is also known as “off-page” optimization.
At first, SEO seems to be a very complicated and confusing topic.
